Other Neurodiversities

Fana-Ethiopia is dedicated to providing early identification, assessment, and intervention for children with learning, communication, intellectual, and developmental disabilities from KG to age eight. Our comprehensive services include occupational, physiotherapy, and speech therapy, along with parental counseling and awareness training for educators and healthcare providers to ensure every child has the support they need to thrive.

For children diagnosed with a disability, getting the support they need as early as possible will give them the best chance of minimizing the long-term effects of the disability.

It shouldn’t matter how slowly a child with a disability learns. What matters is that we encourage them to never stop?”

Our work in the field of early learning and education for children with learning, communication, intellectual and developmental disabilities spanning the life period from KG through to eight years, covers a range of activities including:

· Early identification and assessment of child disability

· Early intervention

· Occupational therapy to help with motor skills such as playing, dressing and going to the toilet.

· Physiotherapy to help with balance, sitting, rolling, crawling and walking.

· Speech therapy to help with speech and language.

· Providing individual and group counselling services on parental coping strategies

· Awareness raising and technical training for teachers, parents, health care providers, government and NGOs on issues of child disability
